Nutrium or NutriCRM: which fits your practice?
Nutrium is a mature, multi-language nutrition platform with built-in video calls. NutriCRM is built for practices that want the whole client relationship in one place: a lead pipeline, follow-up tracking, subscriptions and payments, and a client app published under their own brand.

The short answer
Choose Nutrium if you need built-in video consultations, a language other than English, or records its maker describes as HIPAA and GDPR compliant. Choose NutriCRM if your bottleneck is the business side of the practice: tracking enquiries to conversion, logging every follow-up, managing subscriptions, and giving clients an app with your clinic name on it rather than the software vendor’s.

Where Nutrium is genuinely stronger
Nutrium has been built for clinical nutrition consultations for a long time, and it shows in the consultation itself. Video calls run inside the software, and its AI Summaries feature turns a video consultation into a structured clinical summary (assessment, eating behaviour, anthropometric data, goals, meal plan guidance and next steps) that the professional reviews before saving. Nutrium says the audio and video are not stored.
It is also the stronger choice if you work in more than one language. The site is available in German, English, Spanish, French, Italian and two variants of Portuguese, and Nutrium reports 350K dietitians across 90 countries. NutriCRM is English only.
On the nutrition side, Nutrium analyses client food intake for both macros and micronutrients, suggests food equivalents inside meal plans, and ships thousands of recipes and 100+ infographics you can share with clients.
Where NutriCRM goes further
NutriCRM starts earlier in the client relationship. Every enquiry enters a lead pipeline (new, contacted, qualified, converted, lost), so you can see which prospects went quiet and which ones are ready to start. Nutrium’s public pages describe client management and medical history, but not a pipeline for prospects.
The client app is the other big difference. Nutrium gives your clients the Nutrium app. On NutriCRM’s higher plans, clients download an app published in the App Store and Play Store under your clinic’s name, logo and colours. For practices selling premium programmes, that is part of the product they are paying for.
NutriCRM is also built for small clinics with several dietitians: custom roles, team-scoped data visibility, client assignment to a specific dietitian, and subscriptions tracked as active, paused or expired against each client.
Five things to test in either free trial
Both products offer a free trial, so the fastest way to decide is to run the same real week through each.
- Plan a real day for a real client. Search for the ten foods and dishes your clients actually eat and count how many you have to build by hand.
- Check the portion units. Clients follow cups, bowls and slices more reliably than grams.
- Follow the money. Set up one client subscription, collect a test payment and see where renewals show up.
- Open the client app on a typical client phone and note whose brand the client sees.
- Ask how you would leave. Before moving years of client history anywhere, ask how you export it again.
Pricing
Nutrium publishes two plans for professionals on its pricing page: one for unlimited clients and one for up to 10 clients a month. Both include the same features and differ only in client volume. Each can be billed monthly or yearly, with yearly working out cheaper, and both come with a 14-day free trial.
The English pricing page shows prices in US dollars, and Nutrium notes that the listed prices apply to the first annual subscription or the first 12 monthly payments. Check the current figures for your region on Nutrium’s website before comparing.
NutriCRM pricing is based on your client volume and team size and is shared on a short demo. There are no per-message or per-credit charges, and there is a 7-day free trial with no card required.
Switching from Nutrium to NutriCRM
There is no automated import from Nutrium into NutriCRM. Client profiles and diet plan templates are re-created in NutriCRM, so most practices start new clients there while existing clients finish their current plan in Nutrium.
Before you cancel, export or archive everything you need from Nutrium, including client histories and any meal plan templates you want to rebuild. Ask on the NutriCRM demo what setup help is available for your practice size.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Nutrium alternative?
It depends on what you need beyond meal planning. If you want a lead pipeline, follow-up tracking, subscription tracking and a client app published under your own clinic name, NutriCRM is built around that. If you need built-in video, several languages or HIPAA-compliant records, Nutrium or Practice Better will suit you better.
How much does Nutrium cost?
Nutrium publishes two plans for professionals: unlimited clients, or up to 10 clients a month. Both include the same features, can be billed monthly or yearly, and include a 14-day free trial. Prices are shown in US dollars on the English site; check Nutrium’s pricing page for current figures in your region.
Is Nutrium free?
We found no free plan for professionals on Nutrium’s pricing page as of October 2026. It offers a 14-day free trial on both paid plans.
What does Nutrium do that NutriCRM does not?
Nutrium offers built-in video consultations with Zoom and Google Meet integration, AI Summaries of consultations, 7 site languages, a 100+ infographic library, micronutrient analysis of food diaries, and states that its records are HIPAA and GDPR compliant. NutriCRM is English only, has no built-in video and is not HIPAA certified.
What does NutriCRM do that Nutrium does not?
NutriCRM tracks prospects in a lead pipeline from first enquiry to paying client, logs every follow-up on a client timeline, tracks subscriptions as active, paused or expired, supports custom roles for multi-dietitian clinics, and on higher plans publishes a client app under your own clinic name.
Can I move my clients from Nutrium to NutriCRM?
There is no automated import. Client profiles and plan templates are re-created in NutriCRM, and most practices run both tools side by side until existing clients finish their current plan.
