NutriAdmin alternative: NutriCRM vs NutriAdmin
NutriAdmin is a UK-built, all-in-one tool for nutritionists with deep food databases and fast meal plan creation. NutriCRM puts more weight on the business around the plan: enquiries, follow-ups, subscriptions, a team, and a client app under your own name.

Where NutriAdmin is strong
Meal planning is NutriAdmin’s centre of gravity. It connects to seven food and recipe databases, including the USDA, the Australian AUSNUT tables, UK data and branded foods, and lists more than 360,000 searchable recipes. It shows both macro and micronutrient analysis, and it advertises an AI meal plan generator that drafts a plan in about a minute, with an AI recipe tool sold as an add-on.
It also covers the clinical paperwork side well: customisable questionnaires, report templates that fill in client data automatically, client records, and invoices and receipts. Payments run through Stripe. For practices that need it, NutriAdmin states HIPAA-compliant hosting and offers a HIPAA-compliant telehealth add-on.
Pricing is published and self-serve. A solo practitioner can compare plans, start a 14-day trial and be working the same day without talking to anyone.
Where NutriCRM takes a different approach
NutriCRM is built around the client lifecycle rather than the plan alone. Every enquiry enters a pipeline (new, contacted, qualified, converted or lost), and follow-ups are logged on a timeline for each client. NutriAdmin’s public pages describe client records and questionnaires but do not describe a lead pipeline.
The client experience is also different. NutriAdmin gives clients a secure web portal with your logo and branding. NutriCRM gives clients a mobile app published in the App Store and Play Store under your clinic’s name, on higher plans, with in-app chat, group messages and broadcasts. If your clients live on their phones, that difference shows up every day.
For clinics, NutriCRM has custom roles and team-scoped data visibility, so each dietitian sees their own clients while the owner sees everything. NutriAdmin supports teams on its Business plan with a business administrator login.
Where NutriCRM falls short of NutriAdmin
Be clear about the trade-offs before you switch.
- NutriCRM does not generate meal plans with AI. Plans are built by the dietitian in a 7-day grid with reusable templates.
- NutriCRM’s nutrition calculation covers calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre. NutriAdmin also reports micronutrients.
- NutriCRM has no built-in video calls (it connects to Zoom) and is not HIPAA certified.
- NutriCRM pricing is quoted on a demo rather than published.
- NutriCRM is English only, including client-facing screens.
Pricing
NutriAdmin publishes its prices in US dollars. Basic is $34.99 a month for 10 new clients a month, Popular is $49.99 for 20, and Professional is $74.99 for 40, each with one user. Paying yearly works out to roughly two months free (for example $29.16 a month on Basic). The Business plan for teams is priced through a calculator on its site. Telehealth and AI recipes are paid add-ons. Every plan has a 14-day free trial and there is no free plan.
NutriCRM pricing is based on your client volume and quoted on a short demo, with no per-message or credit charges. There is a 7-day free trial that does not ask for a card.
Switching from NutriAdmin to NutriCRM
There is no automated import from NutriAdmin. Client profiles and diet plan templates are re-created in NutriCRM, so most practices run both tools side by side for a few weeks: new clients start in NutriCRM while existing ones finish their current plan cycle.
Before you cancel NutriAdmin, check what it lets you export (client records, questionnaires, plans and reports) and keep a copy. Then start the NutriCRM trial, set up your lead pipeline and one plan template, and invite two or three new clients to the app to see how it feels from their side.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best NutriAdmin alternative?
It depends on what you want more of. If you want a lead pipeline, subscription tracking and a client mobile app under your own brand, NutriCRM is worth a look. If you need built-in video and insurance billing for North America, Practice Better and Healthie are stronger fits. If meal planning depth is what matters most, NutriAdmin itself is hard to beat.
Does NutriAdmin have a mobile app for clients?
NutriAdmin describes a secure, branded web app (client portal) where clients see meal plans, reports and questionnaires and fill in food diaries. We did not find a native client app in the App Store or Play Store on its website. NutriCRM gives clients a native mobile app published under your own clinic name on higher plans.
Is NutriAdmin available in other languages?
NutriAdmin’s own help page says the software interface is in English, but client-facing materials such as questionnaires, reports, meal plans and emails can be written in another language. NutriCRM is English only.
How much does NutriAdmin cost compared with NutriCRM?
NutriAdmin publishes plans from $34.99 to $74.99 a month (checked October 2026), with a custom-priced Business plan and paid add-ons. NutriCRM quotes pricing on a demo based on your client volume, with no per-message or credit charges.
Can NutriCRM create meal plans with AI like NutriAdmin?
No. NutriCRM does not generate plans with AI. You build each week in a 7-day meal grid from foods, recipes and your own templates, and nutrition is calculated per meal as you go.
