Frequently Asked Questions

How do I scale a recipe?

Divide desired servings by original servings to get a multiplier. Multiply each ingredient by this number. For example, 8÷4=2x all ingredients.

Does scaling work for baking?

Baking is more sensitive to scaling. Large increases may require adjusting baking time and temperature. Keep scaling within 2-3x for best results.

How do I convert cups to grams?

Conversions vary by ingredient density. 1 cup flour ≈ 120g, 1 cup sugar ≈ 200g, 1 cup butter ≈ 227g. Use weight for accuracy.

Should I scale cooking time too?

Not proportionally. Doubling a recipe may only add 25-50% more cooking time. Check for doneness rather than relying on time alone.
