- Indulge in the health benefits of Ragi Dosa, a nutritious and delicious variation of the traditional South Indian dosa, made with ragi for a delightful start to your day.
- This recipe will make 4-5 servings of Ragi dosa.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ragi flour, rice flour, and rava.
- Add the curd to the mixture and gradually add water to form a batter similar in consistency to regular dosa batter. The batter should be pourable but not too thin.
- Add the salt, finely chopped green chilli, grated ginger, and chopped curry leaves to the batter. Mix well.
- Heat a small pan and add a little oil. Add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Once they start to splutter, turn off the heat and add this tempering to the dosa batter. Mix well.
- Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) over medium heat. Once hot, pour a ladleful of batter onto the center of the tawa. Using the back of the ladle, gently spread the batter in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
- Drizzle a little oil around the edges of the dosa. Cook until the edges start lifting from the tawa and the dosa appears crisp and golden.
- Flip the dosa and cook for another minute on the other side.
- Remove the dosa from the tawa and serve hot. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve the Ragi Dosa hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, or sambar for a wholesome and satisfying breakfast or snack.
