- This recipe will make 2-3 serving of Pan Fried Fish.
- Pat dry the fish fillets with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
- Season both sides of the fish fillets with salt, black pepper, paprika, red chilli powder and garlic powder (if using).
- Drizzle lemon juice over the fish fillets and gently rub it in. Heat olive oil or melt butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the fish.
- Carefully place the seasoned fish fillets in the hot skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. This allows the bottom to become golden brown and crisp.
- Using a spatula, carefully flip the fish fillets to the other side. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. The internal temperature of the fish should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Transfer the pan-fried fish fillets to serving plates. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the fish.
