Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, Nolen Gur syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. You can adjust the sweetness according to your preference, adding more or less Nolen Gur syrup.
- Mix everything thoroughly until the Nolen Gur is well incorporated into the yogurt.
- If you want to add chopped nuts, fold them into the mixture at this point.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container or an ice cream maker, depending on your available equipment.
- If you're using an ice cream maker, follow the manufacturer's instructions to churn the mixture into ice cream. If you don't have an ice cream maker, proceed to the next step.
- If you don't have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into an airtight container, cover it, and place it in the freezer.
- After about 45 minutes, remove the container from the freezer and stir the mixture vigorously with a fork to break up any ice crystals. Make sure to scrape the sides of the container.
- Return the container to the freezer and repeat this process every 30-45 minutes for the next 2-3 hours. This helps create a smoother texture.
- Once the ice cream is firm and has the desired consistency, serve it in bowls or cones.
- Garnish each serving with a little grated Nolen Gur for an extra touch of sweetness and authenticity.
- Enjoy your healthier Nolen Gur ice cream, which is lower in fat and sugar compared to traditional ice creams, making it a better option for a sweet treat.
- This healthier version of Nolen Gur ice cream uses Greek yogurt for creaminess and Nolen Gur syrup for sweetness. It's a delicious Bengali dessert with a unique flavor.
