- A spicy and tangy Green Chilli Chicken, cooked with a vibrant mix of green chillies and herbs, offering a fiery flavor that's sure to delight spice lovers.
- This recipe will make 3 servings of Green Chilli Chicken.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Heat oil and ghee in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan along with the slit green chillies and curry leaves. Stir well to combine.
- Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the chicken starts to brown on all sides.
- Cover the pan, lower the heat, and let the chicken cook through, stirring occasionally. If needed, add a little water to prevent sticking and to create a bit of gravy.
- Once the chicken is fully cooked and tender, and the oil starts to separate from the gravy, remove the pan from the heat.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
