- This recipe will make 6-7 servings.
- In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, finely chopped methi, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander-cumin seed powder, oil, and salt.
- Gradually add enough water to the mixture to make a stiff dough.
- Knead the dough until it's smooth. Cover it and set it aside for 10-15 minutes.
- After resting, divide the dough into small equal portions.
- Roll out each portion into a circle, similar to making regular pooris.
- Using a fork, prick each poori at regular intervals. This helps the pooris puff up when baking.
- Grease a baking tray with oil/ghee and arrange the pooris on it.
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Place the tray with the pooris in the preheated oven and bake for about 18 minutes or until they are cooked and have a slight golden color.
- Once done, remove the baked methi pooris from the oven and serve them hot. Enjoy your healthy and delicious baked methi pooris!
