Instructions

  1. This recipe will make 6-7 servings.
  2. In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, finely chopped methi, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander-cumin seed powder, oil, and salt.
  3. Gradually add enough water to the mixture to make a stiff dough.
  4. Knead the dough until it's smooth. Cover it and set it aside for 10-15 minutes.
  5. After resting, divide the dough into small equal portions.
  6. Roll out each portion into a circle, similar to making regular pooris.
  7. Using a fork, prick each poori at regular intervals. This helps the pooris puff up when baking.
  8. Grease a baking tray with oil/ghee and arrange the pooris on it.
  9. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  10. Place the tray with the pooris in the preheated oven and bake for about 18 minutes or until they are cooked and have a slight golden color.
  11. Once done, remove the baked methi pooris from the oven and serve them hot. Enjoy your healthy and delicious baked methi pooris!
