  1. Savor the flavors of Aratikaya Vepudu, a simple yet delicious Andhra-style dry sabzi made from raw bananas, perfectly seasoned with spices and a hint of garlic for a delightful side dish.
  2. This recipe will make 2 servings of Aratikaya Vepudu.
  3. Boil the sliced raw bananas with a pinch of turmeric and salt until they are just cooked but still firm. Drain and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  5. Add urad dal to the pan and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  6. Add the crushed garlic cloves and curry leaves. Sauté for a few seconds until aromatic.
  7. Add the boiled raw banana slices to the pan. Stir gently to mix with the tempering.
  8. Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chilli powder, rasam powder, and sesame powder over the bananas. Add salt to taste. Mix well to ensure the bananas are evenly coated with the spices.
  9. Cook on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bananas are slightly crispy and the spices are well roasted.
  10. Once done, turn off the heat and transfer the Aratikaya Vepudu to a serving dish.
  11. Serve hot as a side dish with rice and dal or rasam for a complete meal, enjoying the traditional flavors of Andhra cuisine.
